Serial N.umbers Covered by This ManualThis service manual applies directly to HP 8560A spectrum analyzers with serial numbers prefixed 3207A and above. For HP 8560A spectrum analyzers with serial numbers prefixed below 3207A, order HP Part Number
The serial number label is attached to the rear of the analyzer. The serial number has two parts: the prefix (the first four numbers and a letter), and the suffix (the last five numbers). See Figure
The first four numbers of the prefix are a code identifying the date of the last major design change incorporated in your analyzer. The letter identifies the country in which the unit was manufactured. The
