5Press or repeatedly until Pick-Up On: is highlighted.

6Press or to choose an option.

7Press .

8If you want to set a schedule to turn Auto Answer on or off:

aPress or repeatedly until Auto Answer Scheduling is highlighted.

bPress or until On appears.

cPress .

dPress to select the time for Auto Answer On.

eUse the keypad to enter the date and time. Press 1 for AM, 2 for PM, or 3 for 24-hour mode.

fPress to select the time for Auto Answer Off.

gRepeat step e.

hPressto save the settings and exit the menu.

9Make sure the Fax Auto Answer light is on.

When the number of rings you set is detected, the printer automatically receives the incoming fax.

Setting up Speed Dial

To make sending faxes easier, you can enter up to 99 Speed Dial numbers. You can enter 89 individual fax numbers and 10 groups that can hold up to 30 telephone numbers each.

Setting up Speed Dial using the control panel

1From the control panel, press Fax Mode.

2Press or repeatedly until Add from Phone Book is highlighted.

3Press .

4Press or repeatedly until New/Edit Individual is highlighted.

5Press .

6Press or repeatedly until a blank entry is highlighted, and then press .

7Enter the name using the keypad, and then press .

To enter a name using the keypad:

aFind the number button that corresponds to the letter you want, and then press it repeatedly until the correct letter appears.

bPress 0 to enter a space between words.

cPress to delete a letter.

dRepeat the previous steps until you have entered the name.
