3. Direct Connection to a Corporate Ofﬁce (Telecommuter)

For direct connections to a Corporate Ofﬁce, you can use either one of two conﬁguration options:

■the SmartStart™ Wizard, included on your Netopia R3100 CD.

For instructions on this option, see “Setting up your Router with the SmartStart Wizard” on page 3-3.

■manual conﬁguration using console-based management. This option allows maximum ﬂexibility for experienced users and administrators.
