Choosing the Cable Pairing Convention
To identify the correct pair in the test results, the FrameScope must be told what cable pairing convention is used. For example, if the 3,6 pair fails a test, it would be “Pair 2” if using T568A pairing, but it would be “Pair 3” if using T568B pairing.
1On the Autotest Setup screen, press Cable Pairing, then press Edit. The Cable Pairing Setup screen displays.
2Press the cable pairing convention used on the job, then press OK. The Autotest Setup screen displays, with the cable pairing convention named.
