You can connect the MMCX server to the Avaya Media Server by either of two methods: directly or through the main distribution frame.

Direction connection

Figure 56 illustrates the direct method, which connects an Avaya Media Server DS1 interface circuit pack to a customer-supplied digital line PC board in the MMCX, through a D8W cable.
