Sources of auxiliary local power
An attendant console can derive auxiliary power from:
A bulk power supply, such as the 1145B
A consoles maximum distance from its 1145B auxiliary power source is
800 ft. (244 m) for a 302A1 or 350 ft. (107 m) for a 301B1 an d 302C1.
1151A1 or 1151A2 power supply
Required safety precautions
!DANGER:
When operating power-supply equipment, you must foll ow basic safety
precautions to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, an d personal injury.
Read and understand all instructions. Follow all wa rnings and instructions
marked on the products. Follow all the installation in structions when
mounting the product.
Never use a power unit with a power source other than that specified on the
product labels.
Do not try to plug the 3-wire grounding plug into a nongrou nding power
outlet. This plug only fits into a grounding power out let. This is a safety
feature. If you are unable to insert the plug into the outlet, have an electric ian
replace the outlet. Do not defeat the safety purpose of th e grounding plug.
Do not attach the power supply cord to building surfaces .
Do not overload power outlets.
Do not use this product near water. Do not let anything spill on or i nto the
unit. Clean only with a dry rag.
Never push objects through openings in the case.
Do not try to disassemble the unit. Return it for repair. Opening or removing
covers may expose you to dangerous voltages. Incorrect reassembly may
cause electric shock when the products are subseq uently used.
Power down the unit and refer servicing immediately if the unit is exposed to
water or other liquids, if the unit is dropped or damaged, or if the unit fai ls to
operate normally.
Never let the operating temperature of the unit exceed t he recommended
maximum.
