Resetting the Adapter

Procedure

	Command or Action	Purpose
Step 1	Server# scope chassis	Enters the chassis command mode.
Step 2	Server/chassis # adapter-resetindex	Resets the adapter at the PCI slot number specified by
		the index argument.
		Note	Resetting the adapter also resets the
			host.

This example resets the adapter in PCI slot 1:

Server# scope chassis

Server /chassis # adapter-reset 1

This operation will reset the adapter and the host if it is on.

You may lose connectivity to the CIMC and may have to log in again.
