•Disabled—Theprocessor does not support pass-through
DMA.
•Enabled—Theprocessor uses VT-d Pass-through DMA
asrequired.
IntelVT-d PassThrough DMA
Allowsprocessors to increase I/O performance by placing data
fromI/O devices directly into the processor cache. This setting
helpsto reduce cache misses. This can be one of the following:
•Disabled—Datafrom I/O devices is notplaced directly
intothe processor cache.
•Enabled—Datafrom I/O devicesis placed directly into
theprocessor cache.
DirectCache Access
Whetherthe BIOS sends the C3 report to the operating system.
Whenthe OS receives the report, it can transition the processor
intothe lowerC3 power stateto decreaseenergy usage while
maintainingoptimal processor performance. This can be one of
thefollowing:
•Disabled—TheBIOS does not send the C3 report.
•—TheBIOS sends the C3 report using theACPI C2
format,allowing the OS to transition the processor to the
C3low power state.
•—TheBIOS sends the C3 report using theACPI C3
format,allowing the OS to transition the processor to the
C3low power state.
