Variable Data Printing

Some applications produce documents containing two types of information: static information like background patterns, and variable information that changes from page to page. In a print job, variable data printing separates the static and dynamic information and sends the static information to the printer only once. Pages print faster because repetitive information does not have to be processed separately for each page.
