Enabling the Privileged-Access Password

Before you begin:

ŸRead “Safety Considerations” on page 4-2 and “Handling Static Sensitive Devices” on page 4-3.

Ÿ Remove the system unit cover (see “Removing the Cover” on page 4-4).

To enable the privileged-access password, you must first change the jumpe system board which blocks the use of the privileged-access password.

This procedure should only be performed one time.

1. Remove	the disk	drive	bracket assembly from the system unit and care
it on	top of the	power	supply.

Note: Any adapters installed in slot 5 may have to be temporarily remove order to remove the disk drive bracket. Refer to “Removing Adapt page 4-80 for adapter removal instructions.
