a. Check	to	see	if a	four-slot		EMC	shield	is installed		in	your
four-slot EMC shield is				a	thin	sheet of		metal	attached to the
back	of	your	system	unit	around		adapter	slots	1,	2,	3, and
EMC shield		is	installed	in	your system unit, then your						system
properly		shielded. Skip		to	Step	3 on page 4-40.

b. If

a

four-slot

EMC notshieldalreadyis

installed

adapters, slot covers, and one-slot EMC

shields

in slots

1,

noting which adapter was in each

slot.

install the four-slot EMC shield,

insert the four-slot

4,

making

sure

the tabs on the EMC shield

attach

the shield

with

screws.

d. Reinstall	all	adapters	and slot covers		(but not one-slot	EMC sh
have removed		from slots	1, 2, 3,	and	4. See “Installing	Adapt
page 4-70	for	adapter	installation	instructions.
