ŸRead “Safety Considerations” on page 4-2 and “Handling Static Sensitive Devices” on page 4-3.

Ÿ Read the instructions that came with the adapter.

ŸIf you are installing a graphics adapter,PCI AdaptreferPlacementto the

Referencebefore choosing the slot for the adapter.

ŸFor other adapters, refer to Appendix B, “Adapter Placement Notes” on

page B-1for placement	requirements.
Ÿ Remove the system unit	cover (see “Removing the Cover” on page 4-4).
