copies of important software. The order

in which

you

do

tasks

is

to

you. Use the following

checklist

as

a guide.

ØRecord your identification numbers

Your	system		unit has important identification information	that	you might
you	have	it	serviced.
Appendix A, “System Records” on page A-1 shows where to				find	these
numbers,		and	provides space to record and retain this	information.

ØInstall the Operating System

If AIX is preinstalled in your system unit, or if you plan to insta refer to the AIX documentation for instructions.

ØInstall application programs

To install application programs, follow the instructions supplied with eac application program.
