Set Power On Password:

Setting a power-on password helps protect

information stored in your computer. You can use any combination of up to characters (A–Z, a–z, and 0–9) for your password. The password you type

Notes:

1. If you want to disable an installed power-on password (but not erase power-on password jumper as described in the section beginning on 4-9. the jumper back to the default position re-enables the power-on passwor unless it has been removed in the System Management Services Utilities removing the battery.

2. If forgetyou your password, you can erase the password by shutting down system unit and removing the battery for at least 30 seconds. See “Cha the Battery” on page 4-108 for details.
