✔What is the VOX function?

The VOX function (voice operated transmission) activates the transmitter when you speak into the microphone; then, automatically returns to receive when you stop speaking.

SPEECH COMPRESSOR (p. 89)

✔What is the break-in function?

Full break-in (QSK) activates the receiver between transmit- ted dots and dashes. This is useful when operating in nets, or during DX pile-ups and during contests, when “fast re- sponses” are common.
