Initially Logging into System Administration
All MERLIN Messaging System programming procedures are performed via the System
Administration extension. The first time you log in to MERLIN Messaging System Administration, you
are prompted to change your password. This section describes the procedure for accessing MERLIN
Messaging System Administration for the first time.
Step Programming Task Touch - Tone Input
1Dial the Calling Group extension for the MERLIN Messaging System [nnn]
2Enter the System Administration extension
3At the password prompt, press
Note:
The first time you log in, you are prompted to
change the password. Until you create it, the
System Administration password is not set.
4Enter new password [nnnnnn]
5Re-enter new password [nnnnnn]
6Select System Administration
Note:
For system security purposes, the actual System
Administration option is not heard on the System
Administration Activity menu. You must select it, even
though it is not heard.
