Assigning Personal Lines

With Immediate Call Handling, if you want a DLC or other telephone that is not a QCC to provide backup
call handling for the Automated Attendant, you must assign the lines answered by the Automated Attendant
as Personal Line buttons. You must also set the Personal Line buttons to Delay Ring to ensure proper
operation.
To add an outside line to the extension used for Outcalling in Key mode:

Exit/Back [any key]
2Select Extensions Extensions
3Select Lines/Trunks Lines/Trunks
4Enter the extension number you want
to program [nnn]
Enter
[nnn]
5Add the Outcalling line assignments
by selecting each line button and
turning on the green
Message-Waiting light
Press line button on console
or +
function key
6Press Exit/Back when you have
finished adding the Outcalling lines
to that extension
Exit/Back
7Repeat Steps 4-6 for each extension
providing backup call handling for
the Automated Attendant
8Return to System Programming menu Exit/Back
