Enabling Rotary Signaling
In order for the MERLIN Messaging System to be able to transfer calls, turn the Message-Waiting light On
and Off and perform Outcalling, all MERLIN Messaging voice ports must be programmed as rotary
enabled.
To enable rotary signaling:
Step Programming Task Console Input/Selection PC Input/Selection
1Enter Programming mode Sys Program
Exit/Start [any key]
2Select Extensions Extensions
3Display third page of menu /
/
4Select Rotary Enable RotaryEnabl
5Enter the extension number of the
MERLIN Messaging System
voice port
[nnn] Enter [nnn]
6Repeat Step 5 for all voice ports
7Make sure all MERLIN
Messaging System voice ports are
rotary enabled.
8Return to System Programming
menu Exit/Back
