Replacing a redundant power supply module

If the green LED for the power supply is not lit, but the power switch on the module is on, it indicates that the module has failed.

Note: It is not necessary to remove power from the BCM1000 or BCM1000e to replace a redundant power supply module.

Follow these steps to replace the redundant power supply module.

1Turn the module switch to OFF.

2Remove the screw from right-hand tab.

3Grasp the handle on the module and, at the same time, pull the locking tab on the left of the module towards the handle of the module.

4Pull the module straight forward and out of the housing. Refer to Figure 121.

5Ensure the switch on the replacement module is off.

6Insert the replace module into the empty slot in the power supply housing. You will hear a click when it is seated properly.

7Secure with a screw in the tab located on the right side of the module.

8Turn the module switch to the on position.

The LEDs on the power supply are on when the ac power is connected.
