This telephone performs as a T7316 telephone on syste ms prior to
BCM 3.5. On systems running BCM 3.5 and newer software, the
button numbering changes, the mute button under the dia l pad is
active, and the telephone can support one or more Key Indicator
Modules (KIMs) to create a Central Answer Position (CAP).
7316E+KIM (Key
In di cato r M odul e) — Each KIM has 24 programmable
buttons with displays. On an Ordinary Kim (OKIM), the
buttons can be programmed as memory buttons, with
internal and exte rnal autodial numbers and fea ture codes.
If the T7316E is configured in the system as an enhanced
CAP (eCAP), the KIM becomes an enha nced KIM (eKIM)
and can support line assignments, multiples of the same
target line, a nd hunt group designators , a s well as memor y
key functions.
