[103] SET ANSWER MODE

Allows the system administrator to change the answer mode of any phone. Each phone can have its answer mode set to one of the following options:

RING MODE

The phone will ring in one of eight custom ring patterns. Calls

 

 

are answered by pressing the ANS/RLS or SEND button or

 

 

by lifting the handset.

AUTO ANSWER MODE

After giving a short attention tone, the phone will automati-

 

 

cally answer calls on the speakerphone. When a Trunk line is

 

 

transferred to a phone in Auto Answer, the screened portion

 

 

of the call will be Auto Answered, but the phone will ring when

 

 

the transfer is complete if you have not pressed the ANS/RLS

 

 

or SEND button or lifted the handset.*

VOICE ANNOUNCE

The phone will not ring. After a short attention tone, callers

 

 

can make an announcement but the ANS/RLS or SEND but-

 

 

ton or handset must be used to answer calls.

 

 

 

To answer the C.O. call automatically

To answer the C.O. call automatically, set ‘ON’ the option AUTO ANS COin

MMC 110.
