28.4 SNMP Traps

The HomeSafe will send traps to the SNMP manager when any one of the following events occurs:

A trap is sent after booting (power on).

warmStart (defined in RFC-1215)

A trap is sent after booting (software reboot).

linkDown (defined in RFC-1215)

A trap is sent with the port number when any of the links

 

 

are down. See the following table.

linkUp (defined in RFC-1215)

A trap is sent with the port number.

authenticationFailure (defined in

A trap is sent to the manager when receiving any SNMP

The port number is its interface index under the interface group.
