Setting Function Parameters to Solve Communication Problems on the HP FAX-900 a FAX-950

Communication problems are announced by information codes in the 400 to 500 range. For basi telephone line (unable to dial a station or not answering, for example), consult the User’s and FAX-950.

Corrective Actions for the HP FAX-900 and FAX-950

Use the procedures described in this section to perform routine corrective actions such as c document misfeed problems, or resolving a poor print quality problem. The HP FAX-950 is shown but the procedures are applicable to the FAX-900 also.

Clearing a Paper Jam

To clear a paper jam, perform the following steps:

1.Open the top cover located just above the automatic document feed cover. Grasp each e lift it open.

2.Remove the jammed paper.

3.Close the top cover.
