Physical Interfaces

The ATM OC-12c media card supports one physical interface. It supports the assignment of 220 logical interfaces out of a range of 256.

Virtual Circuits

The ATM OC-12c media card supports up to 1408 active VCs.

Virtual Paths

VPIs 0 through 3 are available for configuration use.

VCIs

On VPI 0, VCI 0 through VCI 1023 can be used; on VPIs 1-3, VCI 0 through VCI 127 can be used.

Note: Virtual circuits 0-31 on each VPI are reserved for signaling.

4.3.2 Installing Configurations or Changes

In the command line interface (CLI), use set and write commands to install configuration parameters.

To save the /etc configuration directory, use grwrite -v.

Additionally, when you enter configuration information or make changes, you must also reset the media card with the command grreset <slot_number> for the change to take place.

4.3.3 Configuration Files and Profiles

The following steps to configure an ATM OC-12c card are the minimum subset required to successfully bring up a connection. See Section 4.2.3, “Configuration Files and Profiles” on page 113 up to Section 4.2.6, “Configuring PVCs” on page 115, and refer to GRF Configuration Guide 1.4, GA22-7366.
