7-2 Advanced Features

System Features (ASYD) Tab

The System Features (ASYD) tab defines the ranges of station numbers the Installation Manager will use to assign phone numbers to users. Also, the feature allows administrators to designate a range or numbers

that will not be assigned to users.

Information entered in the fields on the System Features (ASYD) tab are for Phase 1 installations only.

IMPORTANT

This tab is intended for advanced users only.

IMPORTANT

Your system, in its initial state, contains no configuration information and must be loaded with data which lets the CPU recognize the system type and configuration. The ASYD commands assign values for data memory (DM), local data memory (LDM), and network data memory (NDM) (see Figure 7-3). By default, Installation Manager supplies initial values for these necessary parameters and uploads them to the CPU during the installation process.

Experienced users can alter these values, as well as delete or create new commands. Be aware that deleting required values may cause your system to be non-functional. For complete information on using ASYD commands to configure Voice Server features, consult the Office Data Specifications Manual.

Data for each index is entered in hexadecimal format (00 to FF).

Example: Data = 19. Bit 0, 3, and 4 are set.

Example:

Each bit (in binary, 0 to 1) has its own unique meaning. Refer to the

Office Data Specifications Manual for details.
