Selecting

All list boxes will support the ability to multi-select items. There are two ways to multi-select items:

Step To select a range of rows that are consecutive:

—Select the first item in the range

—Hold the Shift key and select the last item in the list. All items in between will be selected. In Figure 3-3, the fourth item in the list and then the seventh item were selected while holding the Shift key. All items between were selected.

Step Another method is to choose multiple items by selecting rows while holding the Control key. This allows the selection of non-consecutive items. In Figure 3-4, the fourth, sixth, and eighth items were selected.

If you choose an operation, such as clicking the Edit button, you will be editing all the selected records in a smaller list. Figure 3-5displays how this would appear if you chose four items from the list, and then clicked the Edit button.
