5-8 Hardware Information

Media Gateway and Circuit Cards

The Media Gateway and Circuit Cards (Figure 5-6) tab is where peripheral devices (i.e, VS-32,MG-PRI,MG-COT,MC-2A), Protocol Handlers, and Circuit Cards are assigned and configured. By default, all of the required protocol handlers will be automatically assigned, no user configuration is required.

When installing a peripheral device, the MA4000 Installation Manager will both configure the SV7000 and separately the peripheral device. To configure a peripheral device, a serial cable is required to connect the MA4000 Installation Manager PC to the device.
