The Route Restrictions (RSC) (see Figure 7-7) provides a list of restriction classes in the system. The list is provided as an enhancement. It allows the MA4000 Installation Manager user to name the 16 available restriction templates (classes) with a meaningful name.

Media Gateway circuit cards listed in the Routes section are created using the Media Gateway and Circuit Cards section of the Hardware Information tab. See “Media Gateway and Circuit Cards” on page 5-8.

Installation Manager will program ANY class that is assigned to a station. If only RSC-1 is assigned, then that is the only class programmed. But if all 16 classes are assigned to the various phones, then Installation Manager will program all 16 classes, etc.

Classes that are assigned a Description but are not assigned to a phone will not be programmed by Installation Manager.

Load Default Route Restrictions Data check box

(Optional) Click the Load Default Route Restriction Data check box to instruct your system to use pre-programmed default routes.

Allow/Restrict All Data check box

(Optional) Click the Allow/Restrict All Data check box to instruct your system whether to allow or restrict Attendant Incoming, Attendant Outgoing, Direct Incoming, or Direct Outgoing Calls.

When you select a Route Restriction Class, and click the Edit button, Figure 7-8displays. You are then allowed to assign a class name and a detailed description for that class.
