The -ccount argument lets you specify the number of ICMP packets generated for the ping request. Values greater than 250 are truncated to 250.

You can use the ping command to determine whether a hostname or IP address is already in use on your network. You cannot use the ping command to ping the Netopia Gateway’s own IP address.

quit

Exits the Netopia Gateway command line interface.

reset arp

Clears the Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) cache on your unit.

reset atm

Resets the Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) statistics.

reset crash

Clears crash-dump information, which identifies the contents of the Netopia Gateway regis- ters at the point of system malfunction.

reset dhcp server

Clears the DHCP lease table in the Netopia Gateway.

reset diffserv

Resets the Differentiated Services (diffserv) statistics.

reset enet

Resets Ethernet statistics to zero

reset heartbeat

Restarts the heartbeat sequence.
