Initial Scanner Setup

Depending on how the original is positioned, the scan area will be as follows:

The range of possible original sizes and scan sizes is as fol- lows:

Original Size

X1: 210-914 mm (8.3”-36.0”)

Y1: 210-15000 mm (8.3”-11.7”)

9 • Scan Area

X3: 10-914 mm (0.4”-36.0”)

Y3: 10-15000 mm (0.4”-590.6”)

Keep the scan area settings within these ranges.

D When all dimensions are en- tered, press [OK].

E Make sure that the area speci- fied in step D (X3 and Y3) is shown in the [Custom Size] field, and then press [OK].

Automatically Detecting the Vertical Measurement (Length)

APress [Auto Detect].

B Using the number keys, enter the horizontal measurement (width) of the original.

Select [X1], enter the horizontal measurement, and then press the {#} key.

When you automatically detect the vertical measurement (length) you can specify only [X1]. [X2] is set to “0”, and [X3] is set to the same value as [X1].
