This section contains the information needed to do periodic and corrective maintenance on the AWG Arbitrary Waveform Generator Specifically the following subsections are included:

Inspection and Cleaning+ Information and procedures for inspecting the AWG and cleaning its external and internal modules
Removal and Installation Procedures+ How to remove defective mod* ules and replace new or repaired modules
Repackaging+ Information on packaging the AWG properly for shipment
Troubleshooting+ Information on isolating failed modules Included are instructions on operating the AWG internal diagnostic routines and troubleshooting flowcharts for fault isolation Most of the flowcharts use the internal diagnostic routines to speed fault isolation to a specific module
Before performing any of the procedures in the Maintenance section note the following:
