Viewing the Events Log

The Events Log screen shows a the events that have been logged by this access point. These events are cleared when the access point loses power or is rebooted.

To view the Events Log

ˆFrom the menu, click Maintenance > Events Log. The Events Log screen appears. For help understanding the events on this read-only screen, see the next table.

MAC Address

 

Indicates the Ethernet MAC address of the device

 

 

that caused the event.

 

 

 

IP Address

 

Indicates the IP address of the device that

Priority

 

Indicates the priority of the event: Critical, High,

 

 

Low, and Informative.

 

 

Critical and High priority events generate an

 

 

SNMP trap.

 

 

 

Trap?

 

Indicates whether an SNMP trap is sent for this

 

 

particular event type.

 

 

 

Count

 

Indicates the number of times the event occurred.

 

 

 

Type

 

Indicates a description of the event.

 

 

 

Additional Data

 

Indicates extra event-specific information.

 

 

 

Age

 

Indicates the amount of time that has passed

 

 

since the event occurred.
