EEROM Model ID Configuration Procedure for the DesignJet 330 and 350C
The EEROM model ID configuration procedure only needs to be carried out if:
DA pre8configured board is being reused.
DThe current board is incorrectly configured to the wrong model ID.
DThe plotter shows an unconfigured model ID system error (Steady 135). It is very rare that these situations will ever occur.
Configure the plotter model ID as follows:
1Remove the left cover ' page 6810.
2Disconnect the media motor encoder cable from the main PCA (connector ENC X).
3Turn the plotter ON in Service Mode 1.
4 Hold the ALT key down and press the Deconfiguration Mode key.

5Once in Deconfiguration Mode, the first and second LED columns should light up.
6Using a suitable tool, short8circuit pins 1 and 2 (the first two pins on the right) of the media motor encoder connector (ENC X).
The second and third LED columns should light up as you short8ciruit the two pins.
7Once you have short8circuited the two pins, the first and second LED columns should light up again.
Shift
8 Press the Shift key to exit the Deconfiguration Mode.
