Message Notification

If you are looking at the Expanded Transfe r Options on the subscriber

Personal Directory page, press to close it. The system displays the

Message Notification part of the screen. This is where you set up

message notification and delivery se ttin gs for the subscriber.

Lamp #

Enter the area code and numbe r t he voice mail system should dial to

turn a message waiting lamp on or off for the subsc riber, and press

. Use X for the subscriber extension number.

Activate Lamps?

1. Enter Y, and press to indicate if the voice mail system

should activate message waiting lamps.

2. If yo u sele ct Y, also check the Message Lamp On and Off codes

at the top of Switch Setup Scr een Page 2 to verify that they are

the correct codes for your telephone system. These codes

were configured automatical ly when you selected your NE C

telephone system. (Refer to Section 2 Program Worksheet 1:

Site Information on page 3-2.)

3. Enter N, and press to indicate if the voice mail system

should not activate message waiting lamps.
