Subnet Mask Is a mask of the network and host portion of the IP address for the
router interface.
Protocol Tells which protocol added the specified route. The possibilities
are: local, static, or RIP.
Total Number of Routes The total number of routes.
For each Next Hop
Next Hop Intf The outgoing router interface to use when forwarding traffic to
the next destination.
Next Hop IP Address The outgoing router IP address to use when forwarding traffic to
the next router (if any) in the path toward the destination.
show ip route bestroutes
This command causes the entire route table to be displayed. This commands takes no options.
Format show ip route bestroutes
Mode Privileged EXEC
Network Address Is an IP route prefix for the destination.

Total Number of Routes The total number of routes in the route table.
For each Next Hop
Next Hop Intf The outgoing router interface to use when forwarding traffic to
the next destination.
Next Hop IP Address The outgoing router IP address to use when forwarding traffic to
the next router (if any) in the path toward the destination. The
next router will always be one of the adjacent neighbors or the IP
address of the local interface for a directly attached network.
show ip route entry
This command displays the entire route table.
