The process will either succeed or fail.
If the process succeeds, the disk moves from the FREE DRIVE POOL section to the HOT SPARE section.
If the process fails, an error message similar to the following appears. You must replace the applicable disk. For more information, see Purchasing a Spare Disk Drive.
