Configuring Ports

The port settings or characteristics are configured using the Port Properties dialog shown in Figure 5-2. To open the Port Properties dialog, select one or more ports, open the Port menu and select Port Properties.

The Port Properties dialog displays the switch name and the selected port(s). Use the Port Properties dialog to change the following parameters:

„Port state

„Port speed

„Port mode

„Port buffer credits

„I/O Stream Guard (RSCN Suppression)

„Device scan
