BASIC CONFIGURATION

Setting the IP Address

An IP address may be used for management access to the switch over your network. By default, the switch uses DHCP to assign IP settings to VLAN 1 on the switch. If you wish to manually configure IP settings, you need to set an IP address and subnet mask that is compatible with your network.

You may also need to establish a default gateway between the switch and management stations that exist on another network segment.
