The destination port is set by specifying an Ethernet interface.

The mirror port and monitor port speeds should match, otherwise traffic may be dropped from the monitor port.

You can create multiple mirror sessions, but all sessions must share the same destination port. However, you should avoid sending too much traffic to the destination port from multiple source ports.

Example

The following example configures the switch to mirror all packets from port

6 to 11:

Console(config)#interface ethernet 1/11

Console(config-if)#port monitor ethernet 1/6 both

Console(config-if)#

show port monitor

This command displays mirror information.

Syntax

show port monitor [interface]

interface - ethernet unit/port (source port)

unit - Stack unit. (Range: 1-8).

port - Port number. (Range: 1-26)

Default Setting

Shows all sessions.
