spanning-tree default priority

Use this command to configure the spanning-tree priority to use increments specified by IEEE 802.1D (steps of 1) or 802.1t (steps of 4096). Use the no form to restore the default setting to increments specified by IEEE 802.1t.

Syntax

spanning-tree default priority {802.1D-1998 802.1t-2001}no spanning-tree default priority

802.1D-1998- Specifies priority increments of 1 per IEEE 802.1D.

802.1t-2001- Specifies priority increments of 4096 per IEEE 802.1t.

Command Usage

IEEE 802.1D priority format cannot be used for a switch that is a member of an MIST. If you select 802.1D priority format for a bridge in this state, the system will return an error message.
