1.9 Batteries 1 Hardware Overview

Detection of full charge

A full charge is detected when the battery is charging, and under any of the following conditions:

1.The battery charging current drops under the predetermined limit.

2.The charging time exceeds the limit.

3.The battery’s temperature exceeds 60°C.

1.9.4RTC battery

The RTC battery provides power to keep the current date, time and other setup information in memory while the computer is turned off. Table 1-9 lists the charging time and data preservation period of the RTC battery. The adapter or main battery charges the RTC battery, while the computer is powered on.
