1. System Configurati on

1.7 T1S communication function

The T1S has an RS-485 muiti-purpose communication port. This port can work

independent of t he pr ogrammer por t.

By using this communication port, one of the f ollowing three communication modes is

available, computer link mode, data link mode and f r ee ASCII mode.

For details of these f unct ions, r efer to t he separate manual “T 1/T1S User’s Manual -

Communication Funct ion -”.

Computer link mode

T-ser ies computer link protocol can be used in this mode. A m aximum of 32 T1Ss can

be connected to a mast er computer.

By using this mode, all the T1S’s data can be accessed by a master com puter.

The T-series PLC progr am m ing software (T-PDS) can also be used in this

configuration.
