This parameter is global throughout the ATLAS 550. Changes here affect all router interfaces.

| Enables or disables proxy ARP on this interface. |
ETHERNET | Write security: 2; Read security: 5 |
| Provides a way to configure various settings for the Ethernet port. The fol- |
| lowing options are available for review and editing: |
PORT NAME | Defines the name of the Ethernet port. You can leave this field blank. |
IP ADDRESS | Lists the address assigned to the base Ethernet port. This address is com- |
| posed of four decimal numbers, each in the range of 0 to 255, separated by |
| periods. This value is set to 0.0.0.0 by default. The IP address is used for the |
| Ethernet interface. Obtain the correct IP address from your LAN administra- |
| tor. |
DEFAULT GATEWAY Defines or changes the default gateway. Enter the default gateway address by entering a decimal number into the appropriate field and then pressing Enter to move to the next field. You will need a default gateway if the LAN contains multiple segments. This address is composed of four decimal num- bers, each in the range of 0 to 255, separated by periods. This value is set to
0.0.0.0by default. Contact your LAN administrator for the appropriate ad-
dress.
