The tester runs the printer independently to test operation of printer and options (duplexing unit and envelope feeder). It has three uses which are outlined below;
a.Commands the printer to print out solid black, horizontal lines, vertical lines and solid blank images. It can also select the
b.Monitors the status of the sensors, and forcibly operates the various solenoids and motors.
c.In the event of a printer failure, the error information sent from the printer to the video con- troller (external device) can be displayed on the tester LED.
