The parameter, Minimum Ring Volume, exists in

the Cisco Unified Communications Manager

Administration, Product Configuration window.

When a user presses the minus (–) side of the

Volume button to reduce the ringer volume in an

on-hook state, the volume decreases only to the

configured minimum volume-level setting. When

the minimum volume level is reached, no status

message appears.

After a system restart, the minimum ringer volume

resets to the minimum ringer-volume setting that is

received from the configuration file. If you

configure a new minimum volume level after the

last startup and the end user had previously set the

minimum ringer volume lower, the ringer volume

will be set to the minimum value from the

configuration file, not to the level set by the user.

This feature does not apply to handset, speaker,

and headset volumes during calls.
