8.5.2Starting the task

ÊPerform the following procedures:

1."Opening the rack door" on page 40

2."Sliding the server out of the rack" on page 42

3."Removing the rear cover" on page 46

8.5.3Deactivating the expansion card

ÊDeactivate the expansion card using either the related PCI hot-plug software or by pressing the light-pipe switch, see A in Figure 70.

ÊWait until the light-pipe switch no longer lights up. The slot is now zero potential.

ÊIf applicable, disconnect the cables on the expansion card.
