8.5.2 Starting the task

ÊPerform the following procedures:

1. "Opening the rack door" on page40

2. "Sliding the server out of the rack" on page42

3. "Removing the rear cover" on page46

8.5.3 Deactivating the expansion card

ÊDeactivate the expansion card using either the related PCI hot-plug software

or by pressing the light-pipe switch, see A in Figure70.

ÊWait until the light-pipe switch no longer lights up.

The slot is now zero potential.

ÊIf applicable, disconnect the cables on the expansion card.
