Basic procedures

4.3 Shutting down the server

VCAUTION!

Follow the safety instructions in the "Safety instructions" on page31.

IThis step is only applicable to replace or expand non-hot plug

components.

ÊTerminate all applications and shut down the server correctly.

ÊIf your operating system has not switched off the server, press the On/Off

button.

ÊPull all power cords out of the power outlets.

Authorized personnel

Authorized specialist personnel can carry out replacement tasks for

integral server components. Ask you local Fujitsu service center for

more detailed information.

VCAUTION!

Procedures indicated as "Authorized personnel only“ must be

done by Fujitsu service personnel or technicians trained by

Fujitsu for doing these tasks. Please note that unauthorized

interference with the system will void the warranty and exempt the

manufacturer from all liability.
