ÊPerform the following procedures:

1. "Opening the rack door" on page40

2. "Shutting down the server" on page 41

3. "Sliding the server out of the rack" on page42

4. "Removing the rear cover" on page46

5. If required to access the installation place: Remove the expansion cards,

see "Expansion cards and BBU" on page105

IBefore removing the expansion cards, take a note on the

installation slot number for each card. Make sure that you reinstall

the card in the slot it was located before the replacement.

14.3.3 Removing the UFM

ÊRemove the SAS and BBU cable(s) for a convenient access to the mounting

location of the UFM.

ÊRemove the nylon screw on the defective UFM board.

ÊDisconnect and remove the defective UFM board.

IThe metal spacer remains on the baseboard.
