8.6.9Activating the expansion card

ÊActivate the expansion card using either the related PCI hot-plug software or by pressing the light-pipe switch, see A in Figure 69.

The light-pipe switch flashes green. The slot is in the enable sequence.

ÊWait until the light-pipe switch is constantly green. The slot is now powered on.

IIf the light-pipe switch continues to flash, an error has occurred.

Remove the expansion card and repeat the procedure as described above.

8.6.10Completing the task

ÊPerform the following procedures to complete the task:

1."Installing the rear cover" on page 48

2."Mounting the server in the rack" on page 49

3."Closing the rack door" on page 51
