Fuel Tank

Fuel Filler and Tube Removal

•Open the front storage compartment cover.

•Loosen the fuel filler tube clamp screws [A] and remove the fuel filler tube [B].

•Remove the fuel filler cap [A].

•Take out the screws [B] in the filler flange and remove the fuel filler [C].

Fuel Filler and Tube Installation

•Clean the deck and filler on their mating surfaces with greaseless, high-flash point solvent.

WARNING

Clean the parts in a well-ventilated area, and take ample care that there are no sparks or flame any- where near the working area; this includes any ap- pliance with a pilot light. Do not use gasoline or a low-flash point solvent. A fire or explosion could result.

•Replace the fuel filler gasket [A] with a new one.

•Visually inspect the fuel filler cap gasket [B] for damage. If there is any doubt as to the condition of the fuel filler

gasket, replace the gasket with a new one.

•Tighten the fuel filler tube clamp screws.

Torque - Fuel Filler Tube Clamp Screws: 2.9 N·m (0.30 kgf·m, 26 in·lb)
